Ah the Rubaiyat in Byres Road - was a favorite student haunt in my days at Glasgow University 1969 to 1972.

probably be in the Islay Bar,maybe see you then, its years since I was in the Rubyiat in Byres Road
ages since I've been in Uisge. Iuse to visit the Drover's Inn in Inveranan, Loch Lomondside when it was owned by the same guy that owned Uisge

I do go to Islay now and then, so I might swing by.
I don't really go to Uisge for anything other than the Gaelic night anymore.
Shame, it was a good pub.

I used to be a member of the Scotland Travel Club but gave it up because of Berti Voghts so now I can't get a ticket for the matches but it is good fun watching the game in a pub like the Islay Bar or someof the pubs in town.
