You two look great together, and I really like your ensemble. I agree with Cloves, and my reason is that I think there's a nice buckle under the jacket to show off, and I tend to like the unbuttoned look myself. Either way, sharp outfit!

thanks, As a matter of fact the buckle was found at Urban Outfitters for about 15.00
I moded the loop on the back with heavy coat hanger wire to suport a 2 1/4 wide belt. good point, I do like to show the buckle.
