I have the Lamont ancient tartan from the house of edgar. Nice tartan. I have it in a 7 yard 13 ounce medium weight material. Hangs and swings beautifully. I definitely like the colors personally better than lochcarron or strathmore.

I have two Clan Lamont kilts(both wool). One is the Ancient tartan and the other is the Weathered Lamont tartan. They are my favorites (I wonder why) so I tend to save them for special occasions.

I ordered a Lamont modern from Matt some time ago but delivery is still a ways off Saving my pennys (lots of them) for my next one from Matt which will be either ancient or weathered.

I have no connection with the Lamonts, but do have a wool kilt from SWK in Weathered Lamont. Nice subdued colors and a good 'knock around' kilt.
