I know someone here uses a sporran hanger that's a single strap. Well, maybe not "here" but on Matt Newsome's site: http://kilts.albanach.org/Hpim0734.jpg
That ought to be easier to slide around than a double strap sporran hanger, albeit somewhat unusual looking, right?

I'm kind of on the odd side myself, and I'm not sure if I like the looks of it, but I keep on thinking, "It sure beats wearing two belts."

Only in so much as you either can't have your buckle in the centre (I'm big on buckles) or you can't have our sporran the centre, The Twin suspenders are ok but probably not for me.

It does look a little weird but honestly the purpse would be functionality and practibility. If it does the job, then that's what matters in my opinion. I wouldn't wear it because it just looks a little weird, but all power to him.

I have to add my support for Cavscout's sporran hangers. I bought a set not long ago and love them. (and at 38" I'm not all that corpulent). Also since I don't put my belts through the loops (if a particular kilt happens to have them) it's not really too hard to slide the sporran around either.

It's the same method used by this famous lad

When is a sporran a belt pouch? can they be both? Who invented liquid soap and why?

I haven't tried hangers yet but they look good so am planing to acquire some.
Sometime once I am seated in the car the sporran hasn't gone under the steering wheel properly but it's easy to get it underneath and it doesn't brush against the wheel or affect the steering.
