Labret - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A labret is one form of body piercing. Taken literally, it is any type of adornment that is attached to the facial lip (labrum). However, the term usually refers to a piercing that is below the bottom lip, above the chin.
Among the ancient Aztecs and Mayans labret piercing was reserved for male members of the higher castes.
A less common name for the labret piercing is the "Mao." It is widely believed that this name originates from Mao Zedong's mole below his lower lip.
I had to check - I didn't know either!

Dang this is a first. I don't think I've ever seen one but I've quit looking at the picture labrets once I stretched past 10 gauge. Just make sure you find a good quality internally threaded stud. I'll second tribalectic.com as I've been a member of their forums and ordering stuff from them since 2002.

This comes up every so often. The UK flag is the Union Jack and people can get all fancy and techy but it is called the Union Jack by everybody official, like, say, the Royals.
They're synonyms.

Back to the thread, let me get my darling daughter to look for one. That's her current profession.

Talked to my daughter this morning, here's what she came up with. I guess all eight show up, we were looking at the first one, BL. It's not quite right but for the size and all it might be close enough. The distributor, Rage Body Jewellery, is in Guelph so that's easy and if you're in the London area, she works out of Hardcore Tattoos.

Damn, no labrets with a 8 gauge stud. I was thinking of stealing his idea and getting me one also.

Wow! Thanks for the great response to my post! I like the looks of the labret balls that Archangel's daughter found... I just might have to get one to hold me over.
As for neo71665's eight gauge stud... ouch! I still wear a fourteen, and will probably keep to it. So far it's the only piercing, but the tattoos are increasing (my wife has her own studio!)
I will keep looking, and let you know how I make out.

Forgot to mention, those ones are UV. Consider the possibilities.

I used to hang out in a parlor my buddy worked at. I have 8 gauge in my labret, used to have 8 in both nipples, my tounge was up to 1/2 inch but has since shrunk to 8 and stopped, my earlobes (nowhere as impressive as TB's) 5/8th, 7 tats, and a branding.
