The shoes were black James but as you say, who looks at the shoes

The dicing in the hose can go with quite a few of my kilts so they are multi-functional and at £20, are amazingly good value for hose of that type and quality.

Wow at £20 I would be interested in where you got them, and if they would ship over here.

Lovely pictures, Trefor. The tartan is outstanding, and excuse my ignorance when enquiring which one it is.

    Most excellent pictures, Trefor!

I think those are the first decent pics I've seen of the Antrim tartan. For some reason I thought there was more red in it than that. I may have to add that one to my "want" list of tartans, as Co. Antrim is where my grandfather come from.

l have to agree with Jame's wife on this one, brown shoes would have been just perfect, WHO LOOKS AT SHOES it is quite clear to me women do.

I got them from a shop opposite the car park in Mart St, Hawick. Alas I can't remember the name - maybe Alex can enlighten us on that. They sell a wide range of Scottish woollen products.

There isn't any actual red in it - it's orange which might be appropriate for Antrim!

Great photos and I'm glad the trip was a success. One of my abiding memories was in Cardiff Arms Park back in the 70's listening to all those Welsh voices before the rugby match. As a nation you seem to have an unparalleled abilty to sing.
