Beowulf, I'll spend most of the day watching the athletics so give me a shout. Just look for the short, plump woman trying to herd her mother and two kids. (No, lets be honest, I'm going to hand each of them $20 and send them on their way *LOL*) *s* I will probably sit with Billy Wallace's family.

Kat, when you see all the athletes out there, I'll probably be the smallest one. :-) I'll be wearing a sportkilt in Gordon tartan if that helps any

I plan on arriving Friday and will be staying at the Jameson Inn in Hartwell. There's a Hospitality thing frm 1-4:30 ish, but I won't get there by then because school doesn't get out until 3:30. Hope you all attend the Caleidh Saturday night.

Beowulf, I didn't see this post until this morning so wasn't sure who you were on the field. I did end up running tape for several of the events. I think I had a target on me somewhere because a few of the guys had me dodging weights and the stone.
Turpin, your kids are great. Jim and Carlie haven't stopped talking about what a great time they had with your two.
We were going to stay for the Caleidh and went to Fletcher's for dinner but left shortly after 7:00 because I was just completely worn out. Sorry for missing ya'll there.

My two enjoyed the play-time as well, and you guys took good care of our food needs. Thanks for that, I didn't even have time to go to the bathroom yesterday. Cavscout and I were pretty busy all day. It was a good time and a great place for a nice, friendly games and gathering. Cav's wife is a really nice lady, and a trooper to spend their anniversary selling leathergoods.

I'll Second by saying it was a great day. Cool and overcast in the AM, warming up a good bit in the afternoon but it was a gorgeous day to be outside enjoying the fellowship and the sound of pipes and the occasional gggrrrrrrraaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh from the athletes Here's a few pics we took:
My Bride and I
Turpin and I
Mass Bands coming over the hill
The Atholl Highlanders playing Highland Cathedral for my Wife and I after offering a marriage blessing. A very beautiful moment!
Yours truely...did that just stab in to my hand!? Act casual!
If this guy asks you what your handicap is on the golf course....run away!
A great day in the sun!

Great Pics! You and Turpin look very happy hawking your wares. Your beautiful (and patient) wife seem to be enjoying herself, despite the fact that it's your anniversary.

I don't know but when I choose my Cady, I choose him
I saw him walk in dragging the heavily armed golf bag (sort of a mid-evil james bond device if you will ) but I didn't have the camera handy. When I saw him coming by at the end of the day he obliged me with a picture.
Seriously though, I believe he was a clan organizer and these were probably display pieces at the tent. He said he used to have a backpack he'd carry all this on but his wife picked up the rolling golf bag for him.
Form follow function as they say It was the funniest site to see, but truth be told, I'd probably do the same thing
