for they are "one with everything"

For some reason this idea has come to be identified with Buddhism. It isn't. In all of the schools of Buddhism monism ("All is one") is either refuted or said to be not the most profound view. The highest Buddhist view is neither "all is one" nor "all is many." It is dependent origination, the view that all things arise, abide and dissolve in dependence upon other phenomena, rather than existing solidly, inherently or eternally.

That reminds me of a joke I heard:
Q: What did the Buddhist say to the hot dog vendor?
A: "Make me one with everything."

I hurt some feelings when I complained.
I wonder if those individuals have met any members of the Irish Air Corps Pipe Band?

These gents seem to play a lot "south of the border" with no problems.
No doubt there are more than a few RCs in their ranks. You might mention to these individuals that pipers in the Defence Forces of the Irish Republic wear saffron.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about those things.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

The tartan is all in your mind, and you don't know how big your mind really is.
