    Thanks for the reviews, Alex. Could you clarify if the finish you ordered for the Wallace Hunting Modern? Was it also a super-machine or was it one of their higher grades?

    No, both kilts were ordered to the same specification - super machine finish.

    Sorry you had problems...kilts seem expensive for machine sewn...? But maybe I'm off in my exchange rate calculation. They seem as expensive as hand sewn.

    I really like that Wallace hunting, a beautiful tartan for sure.

    I took the Pailsley kilt back to Houstons and the seamstress got me to wear it in her presence so she could see how it doesn't hang right. She's made some chalk marks where she is going to alter it and I've left it with her to alter the buckles. It appears they contract out the actual kiltmaking to various workers but have an in house seamstress to oversee the work and carry out minor alterations.
