It's a really good book for those interested in the history of how the real old-timers dressed.

Can't be the same book. I don't have that kind of luck. I will, however do some more intense research later on today.

That £125.00 book, must be a signed first edition or something. I wonder if the author is still alive? That might have something to do with it.
Don't be too shocked. In a used bookstore I once came across a first edition printing of Ray Bradbury's Golden Apples of the Sun collection of short stories for 50 cents. At the time I bought it, it was worth about $50. And once I got about $5000 worth of old comics for the whopping total of a dime. Sometimes folks just don't realize what they have.

Well, after spending about an hour on the net researching books and this one in particular. I think that I scored a $120.00 value book. I'm not really sure how to grade books, it's definitly used, but no stains, torn pages, scribbles, etc. there is one page that has been dog-eared ( I hate people who do that!!!)

There appears to be six grades in books:
New, very fine, fine, very good, good and poor.

I know it's not new, and I wouldn't call it very fine - but it may well be fine to very good. Even poor issues of this book are going for $50 to $75.

    That's fantastic! Congrats.

    Hmm, wouldn't $120 buy a nice SWK?

Yup, that's the same book. People can demand that kind of price because it's a long out of print book on a specialized theme. For $2 you got a real steal.

FYI, people can buy a PDF version of this on CD-ROM for $12.95 through our gift shop:

Great find James. I have found quite a few collectible cookbooks in used books stores at great prices. Congratulations on your find.
