They are also available from Great Scot in Nashville, Indiana. http://www.greatscotshop.com/highoriginals.htm
I wonder if this is the same kilt that's on eBay here? http://cgi.ebay.com/Khaki-Canvas-Cas...742.m153.l1262

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet- I'm feeling too lazy to read the whole thread- but I love my Amerikilt. It looks spectacular with an evening jacket or an Iron Maiden t shirt.

I have a black BK, which I like quite a lot. They are made with a very modest (10 percent?) taper to the hips, and I'm not quite that cylindical. For me, it works out if I loosen it a notch and wear it about mid-rise. Standard length is 22.5 inches.

I purposely selected the Kidder kilts because they are, as has been so well reflected here, so well made, stylish, easy care, and use quality fabrics. I, and many around the world, enjoy mine because they are virtually indestructible and simple to wash. NOT SPAM, just a few facts for those seeking very affordable casual kilts.
The canvas duck fabric will stand up to a lot of wearing and abuse, but is not so heavy as to make it hot to wear or uncomfortable due to weight. It is designed to be worn at the level of the navel in the tradtional manner, but I have found that many wear their's lower. I wear mine higher due to the all too common issue of the dunlop!

I like my Black Utilikilt quite a lot, but my new favorite is the X-Kilt that I just made:

It was fun to make, only cost about $25 and is fun to wear!

Baysideboy,
The first question I ask a customer is "What do you want to do in your kilt?"
Each of the kilts you mentioned was designed for a different purpose, customer style and use.
Can you tell us "What do you want to do in your kilt?"

Good question! Aside from the regular kilt nights, there's hiking/camping; walking around town; wearing it with leather to bars, which will hopefully lead to in it!!!

I only have one solid black kilt. I got it with the intention of wearing it with my hawaiian shirts, and it isn't really warm enough yet... Soon, though I should be getting more use out of it.

Everyone is good for different purpose as said.
I found amerikilt good and affordable for my really casual way of wearing those kilts.
Others can surely be more accurate and better finished.
It depends on our choice. I think no one of them it is a bad one!
Ciao !
