I e-mailed Jerry about this a few days ago. The Australian merino wool is no longer available. However, Jerry said that the Black Watch heavyweight is still 16 oz. wool. As I recall, all of the other SWK heavyweights, that is, other than the Black Watch, are 13 oz. I'm going to order the Black Watch heavyweight soon so that I have another wool kilt for cool/cold weather.
And, as those of us that have purchased SWK's before already know, as soon as you complete your order online, you go to your front door and the packaged kilt is on your doorstep.

I have a black watch in the Marino wool, and after being worn six or eight times, the stitching on the fell started popping out. It wasn't a huge deal... I took it to the local tailor shop, and had the stitching redone... but it is something to watch for on yours.

Good to know! I haven't worn mine enough yet to worry about that, but I find that I must ask...what is the fell?

The fell is the part of the pleat that is sewn down from the top of the kilt to somewhere around the hip area. Hope that make sense.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

The fell is the part of the pleats that is sewed down: usually the top third. Not to be confused with the drop (distance from waistline to bottom).

Hey, glad you got your StillWater and you like it. They're really good contemporary kilts and a great value for the price. If you find that the edge of the front apron on your left side curls forward a little bit right at the edge of that first pleat, then look at this thread by Alan H for a fix.

Thanks for the link, Ted, that thread has helped me fix the same problem.

I dont have a standard, i bought a heavy wool. Hopefully the wool material will act differently then the acrylics.

Ya, I don't know if they've changed that first pleat angle on the wool heavy weights, but the fix is the same, actually easier because you can use a lot more heat. My wool Weathered Lamont had that problem.
Hope all is well, and congratulations.
