I'm puttin' the blame on Errol Flynn and that damn Robin Hood flick.

I'm thinking that that was what put the idea into some of these folkses' haids that it was a real good time to hang out in the woods with a bunch of guys (and no wimmen) and drink out of a horn while wearing skins and homespun and a lot of cutlery.

"Men with drinking horns and the wimmen who love them...next on Jerry Springer."

I just hope that those red-headed people (and I speak from personal experience here) have enough SPF 100 sun screen on.

Greg, weren't they at the Chicago Games last year...that big-*** hammer looks familiar.

    Aye bp you look great!!!

As for the horn tip down rule-- I drink from a horn and with people who drink from horns. I've not heard of its being rude to drink with tip up, but it is certainly impractical-- the beer slides toward the drinker's face with a hyperbolic acceleration (due to the curve) and often splashes all over drinker. Every horn has its own special optimum downward curve.

Greg, loved the photo's. But your "don't" pics just point out why I don't cross the cheddar curtain east of Beloit. See you at the ISAS games.

Hey! That could very well be why the whole thing came about in the first place!

Oh, yeah...nothing funnier than seeing somebody get a faceful of beer!

Shame that they changed the shape of beer cans...you can't "pigboat" them any more..now that was entertainment!

That reminds me of the old Flip Wilson routine where his dad was telling him which side of the cup to drink out of.

Anybody other than me remember that? (If you do, you are telling your age)

I don't remember it, but I remember it getting done on the T.V. program Blossom. Does that show my age?
