I'd go with the semi trad. I got my first one yesterday and highly recommend it. Rocky's work is outstanding.

I think I'm convinced. I'm gonna recheck my measurements and go with the semi-trad. I think in the long run I'll be happier with it than the casual

We added a new "info page" to our site that might help you make up your mind as well... it's in the "Important Info" section and is called "things to consider..."

Yes... When Marton Mills went to weave the design in PV, they went through a couple different color "batches" as Rosemary rejected the one(s) that were not a dead on match, or close enough for her approval. It is exceptionally close (not like the "Bright Skye" tartan seen elsewhere).

I have to add my voice to the chorus of "semi-trad"--I think the casual is great too, but I love my semi-trad and just think it's great. If you have the money, go with that. If money's an issue (probably is for most folks right now) then the casual's a good choice too!

For the cost, I love my casual. I didn't want to put out so much for a semi-trad yet and a casual suits my needs fine. The velcro was a pleasant surprise too as it is much sturdier than expected.
