A wonderful idea. We mods have been talking and think it'd be a swell idea to make this a sticky. I'm also going to adjust the title a wee bit. Thanks for the suggestion, Chasem.

    Here's mine:

4 yard, traditional, box pleated kilt
16 oz. wool tartan by F&K
Hand sewn by Dr. Barb Tewksbury

At the Nor Cal 2007 Burns Night, with my band. You can just see a bit of the X-Skirt I made for our fiddler, Lisa, on the right. It's in the Lindsay tartan.

Here I am contemplating how I'm remaining upright without my feet...

...and the requisite pleat shot for my Matt Newsome box-pleat X-Marks beauty.

Well is you've not already seen it in action in this thread... then I guess

    and

16oz wool from Run #3 - 9 yards, handsewn by our very own Barb Tewksbury. It gets more compliments than any other kilt I wear.

Now that this year's fabric has been cut loose, I hope we'll see lots more photos here in a few months.

How could I have missed this thread last year? I dunno (!), but I obviously did so, to rectify the situation, here is the first photo of MY XMTS kilt I could lay my keyboard fingers on. The tartan came from the first weave and it was tailored for me by Geoffrey (Tailor) Ltd in Edinburgh.

    Take care,
    Ham.
