Some detail
Some additional detail.
From the front, lyin' down. Double finged.
Detail of the pleating to sett.
The Buckles, a belt loop and the hand sewn fell.
The Lining on the inside.
It's just fantastic...
EDIT: Thought I'd add a description for Ted. The sett is four bands of dark green, two broad, two narrow and flanking, over scarlet red with white stripes and yellow stripes at 10 inch intervals making the lighter stripes alternately 5 inches apart. For a bloke who's not keen on Red Kilts, I have to say... I love this one but then again my Mum would have liked it too.
I discovered while wearing it at my sister's over Christmas the she has a pleated skirt in 11oz Bruce Ancient. Took me a while to explain the difference to her as she was adamant that hers was real Bruce and mine was "too loud". She doesn't have the benefit of the internet so I couldn't show her pictures but managed to persuade her due to my shear enthusiasm. This is what you get for staying up late at nights and studying stuff.
Happy New Year everyone... and best wishes for 2009!!

I just thought I'd mention it again... It's a lovely kilt AND I'm probably going to keep mentioning it until you've all told me how nice it is... I don't know, Hamish puts up a picture of his sock drawer and you all go mental. I put up pictures of my dream kilt that's taken me 25 years to get hold of and ... and ... silence... There's no justice I tell you

It's a nice kilt...even if it is a Bruce tartan.*

Your Kilt-maker did a beautiful job. Whatever you paid her, it was well worth it!

Great pix of your lovely family, and gorgeous kilt!
Having sewn one kilt pleated to sett, with far fewer stripes than the Bruce, I especially appreciate the detail. I raise a coffee-mug to your kilt maker.
