In what way did he "threaten" them? All a CCTV sees does is record visually BTW so even if he said something to them that could be considered a threat (Which he did not, based on his post[as a KY LEO, I would know]) the cameras would not note that.

I fail to see what threat was made to teenagers that is illegal?

    I'm at a loss now.

    target Targets

Hospitaller, which Target was this? Mayhaps if said teens frequent the store, and found more kilt-wearing folks than just you, they'd learn something.

Oh, wait--I said something about teens learning something. That's the anomaly these days...(offspring of present company likely excepted).

The salient point of my post was "if it escalated." Then the CCTV would show the OP approaching the teens, not the other way around. Yes, whole host of if-then-elses after that but the point stands that the OP made the first move in response to giggling idiots. The idiots that were laughing were in a completely different aisle.

Is it really worth the hassle when walking away is so much more predictable? As a LEO, how many times have you heard a prosecutor say "the defendant should have walked away?" And no, I'm not saying the OP did anything that would land him in court as he described it, I'm saying it could easily have got out of hand and lead to worse things happening.

I'm tellin' ya, his missus was right.
