I do wear the stable belt buckles of some the regiment/corps I've served in, but not the belts.

A CSA belt and buckle would work for me especially on a southern gentleman.
The 'Eathen in his idleness bows down to wood and stone,
'E don't obey no orders unless they is his own,
He keeps his side arms awful,
And he leaves them all about,
Until up comes the Regiment and kicks the 'Eathen out.

I wear one of these mini-pistol belts, in black, with my tan UK. Not too bad only threading it through two belt loops, but I can't imagine wearing it with bluejeans or other trousers.

[QUOTE=Courtmount;666973]I think the Sam Browne or police belt is a grand idea - the basket weave ones are very good looking.

The problem with stable belts is that like wearing military badges you risk offending those who feel that you should not be wearing them if you did not serve in, or have very close connections with the Regiment or Corps concerned. These are part of our regimental 'tribal' wear. The ones you picture are RCT, LI or RGJ, PWRR and RGR. I'm fairly sympathetic to this view.

I understand your "concern" about the "Stable Belts" Here is my "take" (offered with the understanding that their are many who will disagree & I RESPECT that)
    1. IN all situations I wear them respectively
    2. Unless I am doing "Period" (1812 -1830s) "Rifles" ( light Inf/Rifles badge ) or occations when I am with my good friends from the Can,Seaforth (permission granted - Tartan, Sporrans, badges)) I make the EFFORT to DEEMPHISIZE the "miliary" conection. (never wear "badges" in this situation3. If asked or chalenged (which I have never been "face to Face") then I would answer respectively.

Here are pics of my "LEO Dudy belt.
