No problem, piperbh.
Having gone further in my own piping lessons, and being a little more knowledgeable, I now know that the piper was playing The Green Hills of Tyrol and When the Battle's O'er as the two F-16's flew over. It was very emotional.

Hi piperdbh,
Not a problem friend. You meant nothing by your comment, you were just asking a question. However, you did make me think there was a "rule" out there somewhere that, I've never come across.
But, to the original thread. It is inspiring to attend a Firefighter's funeral. To see folks from two or three states away (sometimes more), coming to pay their respects for one of their own that has fallen. Retiree's funerals are also inspiring and, if not the same as a Line of Duty Death . . darn close to it. To be a part of that brotherhood has been an honor. On my MySpace page, I kept a memorial to fallen Firefighter's for a few years. Its my way of honoring my fallen brothers and sisters.
Spartan, thank you for sharing your story.
