Jake, thanks for the pics. You get around! Nice family too, and that's a beautiful picture of them on the cruise.

OK, I have to ask. What did the crickets taste like? The silkworm larvae I had in Korea tasted like walnuts. Looks like you had some great travels.

Well Tony, these were some pretty small critters and they had been sauteed with red chilies, so I couldn't really discern what they might have tasted like in their unseasoned state, even when I ate them right out of the bowl.
Our dinning companions, who were locals, were very enthusiastic when the crickets showed up as an unannounced side to our Oaxacan Stone Bowl meat plates (pictured below) saying that they eat them by hand as a snack, like nuts or popcorn.

I can say this, they weren't crunchy - more like shrimp with shell on.
Best regards,

Super pics, you really have done a lot of kilted travelling, a great ambassador for the kilt.

Cessna, I can honestly say I would never have worn my kilts as far and wide as I have without the support and encouragement I have received from the enablers, er I mean, members of this forum, past and present.
So its your collective fault
Best regards,
Jake
