Great photos, and brings back so many memories of when I lived in Paris.

Nice report on your traveling, as usual. You were lucky to have Ham with you. Otherwise you could die without food and beverage

Don't you believe a word of it! I had given up alcohol for Lent, but my arms were practically twisted off whenever we came to a watering hole, and so I was obliged to go along with the demands of the others (all of 'em Welsh, you understand!) because Elaine held all our travel tickets! I would never have got home again if I'd not toed the many lines!

I shall tell the TRUTH later, when I have seen my Solicitor!

    Take care,
    Ham.

[PS: I will say though that it really was a fabulous weekend - and I did get my own moment of glory! To be revealed soon!]

    Trip

    Derek and Hamish,

I love it when you chaps post here. The photos are great and always leave the Mrs. and I the desire to travel once again.

It is almost like we get to have a little break from the cold and snow we currently are suffering in (-25c this morning) and seeing the beauty of other countires.

Thank you for your posts. They are great!

What a fun trip but you have me exhausted just trying to follow along! We're to meet Ham in Palm Springs very soon now and I'll have to be on guard for all those "let's stop for a drink" ploys.

Your pictures and travelogue are always delightful, thanks for the time and effort you take in sharing.

It must have been hell out there Hamish. All that eating, drinking, drinking and eating, good company and sore arms to boot. I really don't know how you survived.

Wow... what a great trip! I envy you being so close to Paris, though I was lucky enough to visit once. Whatever Hamish's motives for encouraging people to eat and drink, it's a good thing you did. What better place to do it than France?

Looks like a great time Derek. My wife and I will be in London, Paris, Venice, Rome, and Glasgow in a few weeks so this has really wet the appetite for one of those cities. Thanks for sharing.
