NOR could I pull off your look. Contrary to some of the Self proclaimed EXPERTS" , IMHO. the the kilt is Attire not a "costume". &
To be worn & enjoyed. IMHO,if you accept this "concept", then the "insecurity"
of KILTING UP would greatly be reduced.

Great look. I would imagine that the Auld Lang SYNE tartan would be a good choice for high country hunting. Looks like it would blend well with granite

Puffer, you're absolutely correct. Kilts are good for most all occasions. Being tentative about wearing a kilt is an attitude we here are trying to make unacceptable for men who want to look good and show genuine respect for themselves and others.

I hope to see more "supportive" ADVISE in the "area of WEARING the KILT in "rea" LIFE." IMHO McMurdoc's & Jamie's post on the different looks they showed, was a good start, but hopefully more men who wear kilts as their daily wear, will post their "looks" Showing how they wear them as the go about their lives. That is why I post as I do.

    Puffer,

You are, I assume, referring to this thread here

    http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/1...888/index.html

I fear you may have missed the point of this project Glen and I undertook.

Much like Scot Thompson before us, Glen and I, are very regular (or full time) kilt wearers.

The outfits we presented are what we wear in "real life".

In our opinions a gentleman should know how to dress right for whatever occasion he might find himself in.

Hence we wanted to showcase how we dress up or down a kilt as we go about our lives. The thought was that between the two of us we might inspire others as they develop their own "look".

    Cheers

Jamie, PLEASE, if you feel I was being "disrespectful", I am sorry.
you took it that way. I mentioned the post to show your "concepts" which IMHO are a GREAT help in assisting others, here on XMTS, to 'develop" their own "LOOKS"

My post is to simply add an other idea. on this theme. My "look" is mine & I simply offer it AGAIN for others to get ideas from & NOT to SET the MARK.

IMHO, assisting those here is "WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT"
