The Sir John A MacDonald is a Brockville school teacher (I think he is retired now). His name is Brian Porter and he is also a member of the Brockville City Pipe Band. He does classroom visits and other festivals as Canada's first Prime Minister and sometimes as Robert Burns.
All of you look splendid indeed!

You are correct, I did have a good wee chat with Brian, and when Flora McDonald was making her speech, without aide of a written copy I might add, she made mention of Brain and his accomplishments. He really was a wonderful character to talk with.

I'm sure the complimentary wine and the Scotch tasting sponsored by Glenfiddich did not hurt, David said he picked the 18 year old, this he said was a bad thing as his sporran was not deep enough he said perhaps he'd stick with the 5 year old instead.

He certainly does bear a striking resemblance to Sir John!

That sir is the Royal Stewart, you may know it from Shortbread tins, I think what may be throwing you off is the fact that is does come out quite Orange under certain lighting. It is the same kilt I used for the 1 kilt 10 looks thread here.

Thank you. Yes, lighting does foul up the colors.

BTW, I own a Regimental Issue in it. It is beautiful.
