I've been riding Harleys for over 40 years and I cannot think of a way that you can do it wearing a kilt without having some kind of problem. I'm not even talking about what happens if you have to lay it down. I'm thinking that just at some inoportune moment the wind gets under the apron and ..................POOF....it's up around your neck somewhere.

Welcome from North Texas!
Tartan trews while motorcycling might be more workable.

Been riding sense I was 12 years old. I will be 63 this November. Yep that makes 51 years on two wheels. Been down 5 times hard. Twice in the hospital
for short times. Don't ride in a kilt, shorts , nude{tried it a few times younger}
or any other way that doesn't involve leathers ,boots, and a full helmet.
But occassionally during parades I wear my Santa suit:

I don't believe the idea is to arrive in heaven in a well preserved body! But to slide in side ways,Kilt A' Fly'n! Scream'en "Mon Wha A Ride" Kilted Santas

from the West-o-Plex
(west of Fort Worth)
also, I would not suggest the usage of a motorcycle and a kilt. Ride there and change, not worth the hassle or danger.

Welcome from Savannah, Ga. Likes of motorcyclists in the family including myself "back in the day"... based on the massive collection of shredded leathers, "etched" helmets, etc... IMHO, I just would never ride with that much skin exposed... whatever isn't covered, just might get left on the road one day if you have to lay it down.

I have, like many of you, been riding for a looooong time. I don't see riding in a kilt as big a problem as just getting on and off in a kilt. That leg has to come up pretty high to clear my seat and I would probably violate several ordinances every time I mounted or dismounted.
