    The bad news: History has versions and interpretations that can be controversial -- if you like it, and also if you don’t like it.

    The good news: I read (and advise my children to read) a lot.
    I value and appreciate the many choices available; even though some are more plausible or agreeable than others.
    I try to do some homework and then settle on an opinion.

    Plenty of Scots-Irish as well fought & died there too, including my cousin Robert B. Moore (New Orleans Greys).

    Some of my Scobee's were amongst Stephen Austin's original Anglo families to settle in Tejas.
