Lol reminds me of the days in the Marines... If it's growing... Trim it... If it's not growing.... Pick it up... If you can't pick it up.... Paint it white..

Years ago we used to have Army recruiting adverts festooned everywhere "JOIN THE ARMY AND SEE THE WORLD"it said, some one had written underneath " JOIN THE GUARDS AND CLEAN THE WORLD!" Sounds as though you need a few of those Derek.

Hurrumph! Well, yes of course, it seems I may have been promoted but, er, putting that aside for a moment............
We are still two weeks away from THE Festival which means there is still ample time for the grass to re-grow - I hope the staff realise that it will require cutting again (maybe twice) before the great day. I should hate to have to cancel the event at the last minute just because the lawns are not up to the standards I must, and do, expect.
On 4th September, my motorcade, with outriders, will take the route southbound along the Newport Road and is sheduled to arrive at Rumney at 6.00pm (1800hrs). Please ensure that everything is ready for inspection by that time ............................. we don't want to be late getting to the pub!
Take care,
Ham.
