Me and the wife were at a wedding in Dunkeld, Perthshire on Saturday. A fantastic day: perfect weather, stunning setting and good company.

Here’s a photo of Dunkeld Cathedral, where the ceremony took place. A beautiful, ancient building whcih sits on the banks of the Tay, the cathedral is partly in ruins, which just adds to the historic feeling of the place.

Here’s me and my wife, I’m wearing my Lochcarron Strome Ancient Hunting Thomson and charcoal tweed with matching hose. One thing I noticed was that out of the 20+ kilts on show (the groom was English and wore tails), I was the only one not wearing ghillies. Most were appropriately dressed for a day wedding i.e. very few Prince Charlie’s and there was a fair bit of tweed on show. I really need to buy a semi-dress sporran.

Here’s the very impressive looking piper, he certainly earned his money, being there for a large part of the day.

All in all a very enjoyable day.... it must have been good, judging by my hangover yesterday.
