Congratulations! Still got my own OA sash somewhere, from when I was a Scout...

Wear a MacLaren tartan, and I bet they'll be quite understanding, actually, once they learn the history.

Congrats! I also wore my kilt to the Court of Honor for a scout that just made Eagle scout. He did not care (seen me in it all the time), so nobody else did either.

Congrats from another retired brotherhood member. I have fond memories of my time with the OA.

Congrats on Brotherhood. I earned mine as a scout many, many years ago. I now have a MacLaren sportkilt (I used to be a Bobwhite...) that will be going with me on scouting events now.

Congrats on the Brotherhood vipermcgee from a fellow Brotherhood member. I often reflect fondly on my Brotherhood Ceremony-and the fact that it was a cold December night in the mountians with -2 degree temps!

Thank you all. I waited quite some time to take the plunge, about 15 years. I completed ordeal in the early 1990s, and fell away from scouting with just a merit badge and service project needed for Eagle. Now I try to help our scouts along the trail. We have one lad who sould complete his Eagle before the end of 2010!

As for my kilt, I have a phillabeg in Crawford Modern by Celtic Croft. Check here for more details.
