I can only think Jack Daw's talking about my original post, and getting confused about the knob I am referring to? I hope I'm wrong....but embarrassed, nonetheless.

    I edited it for clarification...

    apologies!!!

All I can say is that if I jumped to odd conclusions like that, I wouldn't have a wife either. Seeing as how women require patience and understanding (or so I hear).

Length of lower leg from the top of your shin (the knob) to the ground?

I'm just curious to see what the range is. And why there's so much difficulty finding hose that give a good fit.

I know....curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

I'll start with my dad's measurements. Calf is 16, shoe size 11 & his leg measures 17 1/2 f/ the floor to the knob of the shin.
    My additions in red.
Also noteworthy, my 'activity level' is "athletic" because I'm an SRT Officer in my Prison. That requires a lot of "leg-work" and leg training/strengthening.
    ...and I stand 6'1" and 235 lbs.

I would suggest the Lewis fully-fashioned hose that Matt Newsome sells in the Scottish Tartans Museum store. These cost $10 more than the regular Lewis hose, but they are made to order using your calf and length measurements.
