I can bring em but me playing them is another matter. I still sound like I am killing the Haggis. I am working up the breath to be able to play an entire tune soon... I hope.

I saw Rusty Smith today, one of the best pipers anywhere, and he's on for our Supper. He was the piper last year, and he's going to join us again.

    Things are looking up.

I'll be posting the details, prices, and the way to get your name in the pot soon. In the meantime, get out your calendars and put down Jan. 15.

    Bump

OK, fellas, it's only about 2 1/2 weeks until the big day. I know that Ole Stanta just left town, but it's getting close already. I already have about 23 signed on, and we can accomodate up to about 38-40.

I really hope you can make it, so let me know if you're planning to attend--or not. This year should be rreally fine. I'll be PMing some of the usual suspects from whom I've not heard.

    Cheers.

Is it at the Tavern where we all met before Stone Mtn last year? What hotels are nearby? I might be able to make it.

Same tavern--The Celtic Tavern--and a pretty nice Jameson Inn is only a little ways down the road.

    You can google either.

How formal is this event? I've been to some that were very casual and others that were very formal.

It's your choice. Some go formal, some wear sweaters. I'll be semi-formal in Braemer w/vest. Probably

beowulf67, turp said it all. We're not at all picky and no one is turned away--at least not based on level of dress. The main thing is to show up early and stay late.

We'll start meeting around 4:00 or 5:00 depending on what you want to do, and eat at 6:00. We should be wrapping up the formal part by 8:00, and then we'll do whatever: stand around and drink, reive local cattle, tell big lies, etc.
