Imagine my joy at receiving two kilts in one day!

Mark from the Frugal Corner sent me my prizes from last Summer's Irish tartan design contest and I'm very pleased. The first one he sent (read about it here) was a stock size that didn't fit quite right. These two were made to my measurements and they fit great.

Without further ado, I'll show you the New World Irish tartan pleated up to the orange stripe and to the sett. (If you'd like more ado, check out this other thread)



I like both but, so far, I'm favouring the pleating to the stripe.

And the used kilt pin I picked up on eBay. I try to go with Hamish's advice to avoid un-necessary wear and tear by having one pin for each kilt and not switching them around.
