    Mine are all pretty tame compared to some I see in this thread, but here they are anyway. 3 kilts and 3 kilt pins.

    Came across this pin of a Celtic water horse at a local thrift store, and this thread inspired me to use it as a kilt pin.

    This is a set of Led Zeppelin Runes. If you have no idea what they are, you are either much older than me or considerably younger, in which case it doesn't matter. They are pewter and fasten with individual clutch pins. They are also pretty good at gripping on and do usually stay in alignment. They sit on my plain Black PV and knocked Pin 04 off this prestigious spot on arrival.
    I really like the Led Zeppelin Runes. I will be putting them on my wish list of kilt pins.

    I'm old enough to know unless you read them from the bottom to the top you have backwards text.

    Really? Do you think so?

    Plant, Jones, Bonham, Page... doesn't really matter what order they are in. They are individual symbols not composite parts of a single word. It's down to personal preference of the wearer, based on what appears most aesthetically pleasing to them... Isn't it?

    Unless of course there is a rule I'm not aware of.

    {Edit:}
    I see the thread's been hi-jacked. Not to worry, these things happen. Nathan, go with:

    The penannular.

    the Bird,

    the Frog

    and the Wm Grant for posh doos.

    I'll jump in.

    My first pin was the maple leaf, which I don't think was really intended to be a kilt pin. It's certainly heavy enough and works great as one. The second is the thistle, which I got off ebay about a month ago. I saw it and it was basically love at first sight.

    As Ham so wisely teaches - we need a kilt pin for every kilt to avoid poking and repoking holes in the fabric.

    www.earthartinternational.com it just a regular pin - light for a kilt pin. But wanted something for the Antarctic tartan. Lots of cool animal pins at the site.
