Welcome from the far north of Scotland with a view of Orkney.

Forget chains, I got totally fed up with fiddling with mine so bought 2 of these...

    http://www.scotweb.co.uk/products/al...sporran-strap/

One black and one dark brown. Just wack one end through the back of the sporran, round ya waist and fasten the buckle wherever convenient, then slide it round to where you want the sporran and buckle to sit. I don't pass through the kilt loops and it stays in place just fine and doesn't mark your kilt.

I wear my kilt full time, no excuses needed so just go for it.

    Chris.

Guess I was right. This IS a friendly place!

Shouldn't be surprised though...on the motorway coming back down from Crewe the other day, I passed a convoy of lorries and they all started sounding their horns.
There was I thinking "What the hell have I done wrong?", I'd indicated, pulled out safely, wasn't speeding...

Half way down, one of the guys starts slapping the door of his cab - with a damn great Saltire on it. They'd spotted my Saltire on the ariel and were all saying 'Hi'. Ending up driving with one hand out of the sunroof waving

I'll take a look at the leather strap as that sounds like a solution.

Will try to make Harpenden with the family in tow. Just got to explain how I got my outfit...

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
