OK maybe it wasn't dark yet and the storm was a few drops of rain, but hey it makes for a great title.

A friend (from the coffee shop) had an art opening earlier this evening, and she always invites me (you know how many artists have a Kilted gentleman at their openings?). Tonight was no exception wearing the Hunting Stewart from Rocky and Kelly, dapper was what they called me.

Came across several interesting and yet wonderful conversations, first off a couple came over and said Hunting Stewart what a lovely tartan. Of course I agreed with them and found out that he wears a Kilt on occassion and what tartan does he feel most comfortable with? Any of the Stewart tartans.

Moved on and another couple came to chat with me, said that he wished that he would have worn his Kilt. Of course I concurred.

A lady came to chat with me from of all places Glasgow, she was in town for a few days and was with a friend of hers who is also a friend of Rose the Artist. Was so impressed that I wear a Kilt and especially when Rose told her it was a daily experience for me she was even more excited.

Lastly a lad in his 20s came and tried to guess the tartan, unfortunately he was not as keen as the first gentleman on his tartan knowledge. Yet what I found most exciting about him was that he was from Dumfries (yes he knows of P1M) and was pretty excited that I was an everday Kilt wearer. Then he told me that many of the guys his age who wear Kilts often wear them with T-shirts and with Doc Marten type boots. Yes he does have Kilts and wears them often, but not at the time I met him.

Kilts - a great conversation starter.
