I last attended the championship - as a well informed spectator - in 2007. What a superb time I had in Glasgow - such a fun city! P/M Jack Lee and the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band are simply astounding (and sounded very much in good tone and top form, to me)! I actually just had a visit at SFU in Vancouver a couple of days ago...beautiful campus.
Cheers,

Well, at the moment it looks like flat out Harry has pulled it off. Me an' my boy Tom (Boy? what am I talking about... he's 22) will be there at around zero nine hundered o'clock, parking permitting.
As I say, I'll be the Bloke in the Bruce with the Dandelion. Can't wait.

PS. I've got your number Alex, I'll ring you when we get there.

Just a thought... Anyone know if that will have to go through a proxy if you're outside the UK?

Well the Qualifying Heat is over. We're at the break.
I was up at 1am to watch the entire Qualifier. Our USA bands Oran Mor and LA Scots sounded good but so did all the bands. It's so very difficult to get through to the Final.
Rain fell on a few of the bands, and even worse, at least one band had alternating rain and sun during their set, but somehow their tone held.
The Finals start at 4:30am California time (12:30pm in Glasgow). We'll see then who got through and who gets to spend the afternoon in the Beer Tent discussing what might have been.
