Re: An unexpected surprise!
Thank you everyone for the prayers and word's of encouragment. Now I just need a boy to carry on the Kelly name so if you want to throw out a few prayers for that as well, it would be greatly appreciated. I was already looking at little kilts and contemplating the opportune time to start teaching how to pipe.
Doctor said she's due April 25...

Congratulations... I find it's the first 20 years that's the tricky bit.

Congratulations! Your life will never be the same...and that is a good thing. Just remember: When you aren't getting any sleep at night, it doesn't last long. My oldest is now a junior in college, and I truly miss having him around. Also remember: No one lies on their death-bed saying, "I wish I had spent more time at work." Family comes first...as it should be. God's blessings for you and the missus!

Congratulations, the due date means a wee one for Santa to add to his "good list" for a visit in December, 2012.

Re: An unexpected surprise!
Congratulations!
As the father (at age 40) of a wonderful daughter (now 13 yo) I can say w/o reservation IT IS WORTH EVERY SECOND!
Let me the first to post the "pregnancy horror stories".
Pregnant women often have changes in their senses. My wife was bothered by two very common scents. The first was - well me! I could step right out of the shower(absolutely clean , we are not talking about BO here) and she would have to just go walk away.
The second, and worse odor problem was with coffee. You see we lived just across the St. John's river in Jacksonvile FL. from the Maxwell House Roasting Plant. Every morning ther fired up the roasters at 8 am and by 8:30 she was "praying to porcelain".
I wish your wife better luck and you an abundance of patience.
Steve
