Wouldn't that be awful, Ted? To eat until you pop?

Yes, like in Monty Python's, The Meaning of Life.

With a big dollop of mustard on the side of the plate, this is darn hard to beat. But you forgot to add a few carrots and onions in there! Boil everything together until the beef is tender, then coat it it in our secret recipe of molasses and spices, and roast it till crispy on the outside.... HEAVEN!!!

But I LOVE a good roast pork boston butt. Before I had to go gluten free, I would get it sliced, and pack the slices with stuffing, tie it up, and roast it. Now, just the roast itself, with spuds, carrots, onions and garlic.

Then again, it is pretty tough to beat some good chicken, I don't care how it is cooked. My favorite parts being the tail, neck and back. Same with turkey.

Good braised/roasted trotters are tops too...

I just need to stop... I could write all night... I love good food!
And genuine USMC creamed beef... Always makes me happy.

    Re: Eating Until You Pop!

I think my favorite meal, when growing up, was broiled pork chops (on the bone), fried potatos (sliced into 'chips' and fried in a little oil in the skillet), warmed cinnamon applesauce and either corn or green beans (flavored with a little ham or bacon). Plenty of milk to drink. Finish it off with a slice of pecan pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Hmmm, I'm thinking a visit to the grocery is in order sometime soon. I'll be tired of turkey before too long.

Hard to beat the corned beef and cabbage argument here. However, given that it's Thanksgiving here in the U.S., I have to admit that I'm looking forward to turkey, stuffing with gravy, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, and whatever else my wife and my mother conspire to feed me. Hence the reason for the 5" of adjustment on the kilt strap...

For me, favorite food often depends on the location.

Germany - schweins haxen, mass of dark bier, a good pretzel, followed by schnapps.
UK - a second vote for the full ploughmans or a good fry up in the morning, especially if black and white pudding are involved.
US - turkey, sauerkraut with red cabbage, mashed taters, peas, followed by a great bread pudding (every try Irish soda bread pudding with whiskey sauce?), or if that is not available, pumpkin pie. My wife is starting on the pies as I type...then off to our daughter's for the day.

Pork, "country ribs", simmered all day in crock pot.... fall-off-the-bone tender, melt-in-your-mouth..... um.

Not enough to pop, more like a sated anaconda which just swallowed a whole peccary...

...informally, a great medium rare chopped sirloin burger on pretzel roll topped with bleu cheese and grilled onions. "Gourmet" seasoned fries and depending on if one is or not driving, a couple half-and-half Guiness-Harps or 3-scoop chocolate milk shake.

A rare to medium rare prime rib of beef with horse radish, mushed taters, yorkshire pudding, and a Rusty Nail to finish off for dessert!

A local place (Kilarney House) makes a braised lamb shank that falls apart when you touch it with a fork. The first time I got it my wife had to take a picture before I got a bite. Tender, moist, flavorful... Served with root vegetables. It's really hard to come close to a slow cooked piece of meat that's had heat and time to tenderize it.
