It sounds like instead of making tablet you made a really good ice cream sauce. Microwave it for a few seconds and enjoy it over your favorite scoops.

My grandmother used to make that! I had no idea that it was Scottish. It's also very close to the Italian candy penuche. I'm going to have to try that.
