It's time for our 6th annual Great SEKS Burns Supper schedule--yes, it will be January 28, 2012 at the Celtic Tavern. It's a Saturday, so you can plan your weekend around it, you know, travel time, motels, sleeping in the next day.

Seating is limited to about 35 or so; I hope the regulars can get their reservation in soon after January 1 so we can plan the total outting.

So far, we are planning on a return of Turpin and our own, lovely Miss Hailey for their performances, and Scot Aday will deliver the Selkirk Grace, but the other parts of the program are open. Please contact me if you would like to do anything in particular--recitation or reading of a favorite poem is always welcome. (I have several books of poems, or you can bring your own.)

There'll be an early gathering to quaff a wee dram (or three)/beer/etc., tell a few liies, reive some cattle, admire the various kilts, hear the pipes, and generally discuss important issues--you know, weather, pretty girls, kilt hose, lassies, whisky, women, etc. (It's actually very kid/family friendly, both the gathering and the tavern, but some of us do appreciate lassies. )

Put it on your calendars and let me hear from you soon. Cost is the same as last year--$20--which includes your meal (fresh haggis, etc.), one shot to toast the haggis, and entertainment. (The entertainment is actually free, but, well, you know.)
