And wow! The lady athlete - amazing and inspirational for me - reminds me of a line from a poem I once read about female tennis players:

"Girls with faces like Raphael angels
And thighs like a battleship's hawsers."

Quite. Count me among them... one day soon. Though I think Raphael may have given up the day job if he produced MY face on an angel! I think the 'hawsers' are not out of reach though...

I only saw him do it once but it was really stuck way up the pole and he was impressive

Also I should say if I took your picture and you'd like a copy just let me know and I'll send it email. While I charge for some photography I did this for fun, with no contract involved so I'd email it for free. Some can be blown up to pretty good size others because I was at a distance needed to be cropped but all still are at least standard size photos. I took a lot more shots than I put up especially of the games so if you want to see if I took a shot of you let me know and I will see if I managed to get you in one.

I was wondering about that. Although we here in the North state are sometimes a step or two behind the big city, we have discovered the benefit of ropes and pulleys!

It was a great day! You got a bunch of pictures of my friends and I. The guywith the caber with the determined expression, in blue is my friend and arch-rival, Steve Elliott. The guy in purple behind him is my friend Larry Sisseck...Larry and I tied for 4th place on Sunday.

The older guy in red is Vern Alexander, who set two World Records in the 70+ age class on Sunday.

And Heather totally rocks. TOTALLY rocks.... as does Miz GGGP.

the second picture of Mr. Alexanderr was his last record throw. I actually took alot of him during those record throws as it was pretty exciting.
