Glasgow is, like Boston, a walkable city if you are fit and have comfortable shoes. There are great sights and I highly recommend it.

The group I was with had to work a lot - a great bunch of musicians. I came to really like them all.

While they worked hard on their pieces I had to get the lay of the land. We stayed at dormitories of the University of Glasgow in the North West corner of the city. Walking out of the dorm area into the community down to Maryhill Road and Queen Margaret Drive:

Ultimately ending up at city center and the Central Station. There were areas that were in need of an economic boost and areas of grand age and design. Just like home here in Gardner, Massachusetts but on a scale fifty times the size.

A great thing about having a local connection is it allows a person to be more directed in their aiming for experience. Fitz showed me a group of three pubs they call the Celtic Triangle on Argyle Street to the West of the city center. They are the Ben Nevis, The Park Bar and the Isla Inn.

Great photos, love Glasgow myself, although not as much as Edinburgh.

Among the three can be found an immense variety of beers, ciders and whisky. There is nearely always a dog on hand at the Ben Nevis - several frequent the place. You can hear music in all three of incredible variety - Gaelic, Spanish, English, American - as they all three have frequent ceilidhs.
