A long life well lived. I still remember being given a coronation mug, a tin with chocolate and a ticket to the circus at her coronation. Some lucky neighbours had one of those modern marvels, a television, and were able to watch the coronation. This old thread seems redolent today - http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...ng-else-76782/ . I read he has confirmed his regnal name will be Charles III.

While running errands this afternoon, I was listening to NPR ( National Public Radio for the non-Americans). The coverage was, of course, all about HM death. One interviewee was asked if they were a Monarchist. The answer was " No, but I am a Queenist." No better words may be spoken.
