The only one I have a picture of handy is the first one I bought.
Kilt Pin.jpg
It is probably more of a brooch than a kilt pin, but it works just fine for the latter. It is hallmarked and has some great details to it, as well as a nice story. I bought it from a guy in Australia who was given it by his elderly neighbor. She was a British Ex-Pat who'd moved to Australia 40 years earlier and she'd brought it with her from the UK.
I have a few others that seem rather ordinary - a battle axe and a claymore - but they are all hallmarked sterling and have some interesting detail to them. The battle axe has a 3-leaf clover overlaid on it and the leaves are all inlaid with Connemara marble. I've decided to keep it patinated (i.e. tarnished). The claymore is an Iona from the 50's - an Ian MacCormick, if I remember correctly.
Of course, I have my XMarks. Always keeping an eye out for unusual or interesting ones... I've been hankering for a penannular or circular one lately, so that's my next target.

Pictures of the afore mentioned axe and claymore, as well as one more I'd forgotten about. It is a tidge small, but the casting is crisp, the barrel clasp is strong, and it is hefty sterling. Great Celtic patterns and stamped "KELT" on the back.

They sit on my plain Black PV and knocked Pin 04 off this prestigious spot on arrival.
I really like the Led Zeppelin Runes. I will be putting them on my wish list of kilt pins.

I'm old enough to know unless you read them from the bottom to the top you have backwards text.

I'll jump in.
My first pin was the maple leaf, which I don't think was really intended to be a kilt pin. It's certainly heavy enough and works great as one. The second is the thistle, which I got off ebay about a month ago. I saw it and it was basically love at first sight.

Received mine through the mail today. It matches a ring that I wear a lot. I think it looks pretty cool!
