A friend of mine, Royce, went into a restaurant with wife & friends after a Celtic heritage festival in East Texas. The restaurant part isn't unusual, but the East Texas part is. He & the other kilted men got watched very carefully.

Royce has a skian dubh, a dirk, & a claymore made by a sword-maker on Skye; so when a young lady asked him if that was a real knife in his sock, he said yes.

LOL I forgot about this!!! (good pic in Vegas BTW)

First time I went to vegas ( over 21) I wore my kilt!!

I had a pit boss @ Harrah's Casino ( the outside area, as I was walking by ) stop me and says that a couple of ladies ( he pointed them out ) wanted to know what I wore under my kilt... to which I replied " my shoes and socks!"

he laughed , went and told the ladies( which were very goood lookin ladies I might add!) and then comes back over with a deck of cards in his hand
he says " it takes balls to walk around in one of those" I said "no it takes being yourself " thanked him for the cards and walked away.
damn that was a good time!
