Thanks for sharing, Porrick!

David: the hose colour is "stone". I find it works well with most colours.
Thanks a million for all the positive feed-back, guys!
It's confirmation like this that adds to the joys of standing out in the crowd. Went out to eat with wife and friends yesterday - kilted, of course - and as I've only had a kilt for a month or so, there are still a few in our local community who haven't seen me in it. The best way to encounter "the daft question" (which in most cases come from younger ladies) is: I'll let you know what's under my kilt; ask my wife over there..." That works. In a liberal country like Norway, I have actually tried making a young lady see the unappropriatness of such a question by retorting "honestly, what if I asked what you are wearing under your jeans". The answer? "Please ask..." (!) Yes, the power of the kilt is fantastic - and I have two of the bests accessories: 1) a lovely wife who enjoys me wearing it and seeing disappointed ladies, and 2) a work-place where the administration thinks my kilt wearing is an asset to promoting my subject.

Wonderful. I wish my Principal would allow me to bend the rules and wear kilts to school. I've been showing up on workdays kilted to get him used to the idea, and I'm going to try and get permission for Tartan Day.
I have been teaching my night class at the community college kilted. They all think its great, but the look is spoiled somewhat when I put on my grungy lab coat.

Porrick,
You look great and better yet you look like you are having fun. I worked as a corporate trainer for a year and found that when I was having a good time the class had a good time and everyone would get so much more out of the experience. Good show.

Perhaps Tartan Hiker you need to look into a Prince Charlie cut lab coat....

Great Picture Patrick, Congradulations.
My daughter teaches High School English. Maybe I can get her to let me substitute when I retire in a few years! I could sneak a little literature from Robbie Burns into the class.
Thanks for sharing the picture.

Well, I guess so - it's just that I have never even thought of the possibility that I can not wear what I want to work...
I'm sure I would be sent to the Dean's Office if I wore a piece of clothing promoting profanities and indecencies, but other than that it is up to the discretion of the employees. One of my favourite, comfortable garments is a black and white Guinness fleece sweatshirt...
There isn't even an issue with the Sgian Dubh (!)
Thanks to feedback on the issue, I will now be able to appreciate things I have always taken for granted.
