    Hi Blu,

    Yes that's true!

Hmmmn, closer to 500 miles I'd think. I know that sort of distance is nothing to you guys over there, but it is to me! I know I could break the journey each way, were I to drive, but that would add another two days to the trip. Besides, I don't like driving THAT much - I'd be a physical wreck on arrival. Perhaps I'll save a few AirMiles and fly to Glasgow from Gatwick - if ever we are able to fly again!!!!!!

I suppose it's all a matter of perspective. In N.A. I guess we're just used to the idea that places are spread out. It also partly explains why we're addicted to cars here.

Fanatastic photos David, thanks so much, I have a contact with the record label that record the music for the championships, so I expect we'll see the music for this years' event before too long.

Hamish, I sympathise with the difficulty that you must all face over there with flying, what a nightmare.
It seems only yesterday when we met you in London our concern was for bombing on the underground after the recent three bomb attacks, now this.

Yes Graham, there always seems to be 'something' disrupting our civilised existence thesedays. Fortunately for me, I am not flying anywhere until I go to California for a couple of weeks in October. Hopefully, things will have settled down somewhat by then.

Already, BAA has announced this morning a slight relaxation in the 'carry-on luggage' restrictions that were imposed last week, which is a good sign. It is being said that we might never again be able to carry on board all the things we used to - especially liquids! Oh, well! Those of us who were here in southern England during WWII know all about restrictions, deprivation and danger!!
