Like Panache & Warhoover said, "I am Jonesing but I am happy!!!"

I was able to order from the 2nd run part II.
Last month I sent my tartan to Barb T to be made into a work of art
But, I have to wait until the end of June
Good things come to those who wait

    Steve,
Any unspoken tartan left from the 3rd run? I would like to have a tartan vest made.

Either I'm getting old, or losing parts of my mind, or both! It finally occurred to me to measure the sett size and pleat depths on the military box pleated 16 oz MacLaren Weathered kilt I just finished. The sett is 6 7/8 inches; the measured pleat depth is two inches. The "swish" factor, as noted on its last outing, is perfectly fine.

    Below is a clickable thumbnail.

My conclusion is that the XMarks tartan from this weaving run will make up beautifully into a military box pleated kilt.

So how long does it take to weave once it's on the loom? I though it was going to be 6 weeks before F&K started.

It seems we got slid into a gap in the production schedule. (ain't it great to deal with a fellow X Marker?)

For the amount of fabric we have ordered it will take two days to actually weave the fabric. Then it is inspected inch-by-inch. After that it goes out to be washed and finished. That will take about two weeks.
Gordon should have it back at the mill a couple of days after that and then he will ship it to me or I will get on the ferry and pick it up.
I then will need to cut each members required length, box it up with address labels and customs forms. As each box is packed I will make a run to the post office and send them on their way to you all.

Say about six or seven more months, tops.

While not exactly jonesing, that is just cruel.... Funny, but cruel.

    WOW, THANKS STEVE AND GORDON!

Just think, at the first of the year, this was only a dream in our heads . . .

At this pace, there may just be run 4 by the end of the year!!!!! AND WHO said January and February are the slow months for any business (except snow plows and hockey for you in the frozen pond up north).

Thanks to all behind the scenes for allowing this run!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Wizard Steve for his worky work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, to start the X Marks Rabble hockey team . . .

Thanks Steve for the update. Good news indeed - and a far earlier slot in the weaving schedule than we'd expected!

    Best regards
