    Please don't misunderstand me, Sir. I meant no disrespect or levity at the thought of a bayonet charge, but the courage of the individual Argyll squaddies who charged a group of insurgents with bayonets fixed won the respect of many and allued to the Argyll's history, "a thin red line tipped with a streak of steel".

    No apologies needed, I didn't take it that way. British troops, i can't comment on Americans, are getting in far too many positions where they lack back up and are having problems with weapons, ammunition and equipment that they are having to resort to, what particularly the Scottish soldier has been good at doing, a few too many times for comfort
