In another thread one of the 2 Marks said, and I think I have the wording correct, that since they were not offered the opportunity to advertise with X Marks further, they would no longer participate in discussions about Frugal Corner as Frugal Corner, but that they might participate as individuals. If this isn't the precise terminology that was used, please forgive me in advance for my forgetfulness.

I believe if you check with the power tobe here, They are enabling Frugal Corner from responding. FC PM has been Shut off and Thier post are held. I understand that both Mark's work full time JOBS. They started FC, and I bet alot of us would love to be in this type of business. I know I would. A new business takes big money and lots of time.
I think one of the biggest problems has always been the word "STOCK" To alot of people here "stock" means they have it on hand, But FC "stock" means stock sizes. I have ordered many Kilts from FC, I have 4 16oz kilts, 1 13oz. kilt and 2 sporrans. I have been very happy with their products. My band just odered 20 kilts. I am also working with another group I belong too for a 40 kilt order.
How many of us will work an eight hour business day, then go home and instead of resting, start checking phone messenages and e-mails. Then have to respond by phone or e-mail. I would also bet with the time difference they have to stay up late to call orders in overseas. I am sure they don't make that much and they put what they do make back in to more inventory.
God bless them and I hope they keep working hard.
John

Well, I hope that a little time gives them the opprotunity to work the kinks out of their system. I decided against ordering anything from them with this semester's financial aid, because of the difficulties in communication. I'll revisit next semester, and see if they're doing better.

Please do not make it sound like they are being overworked and doing everyone a favour by checking phone messages and e-mails.
It is their CHOICE to start up a company which will hopefully make them some profits. If they are being so burdened by having to work their regular job then perhaps they shouldn't have started up this side company.
Or they should bring in someone to help. Or at the VERY least, put a temporary hold on any new orders until they can get their affairs sorted.
It is not a big deal to reply to an email. I'm sure many people would be very happy with a simple "Looking into the situation, and will reply as soon as more information on delivery status comes in." The fact is that they are not replying to emails and phone calls. That is what made me not order from them.
I wish them well, and hope they're able to turn things around. Maybe at that time, I'll place an order with them.
Mike

John, the simple response to this is that you are speaking from a position of ignorance.
The Frugal Corner account has no Private Messaging access, that much is true. The reason for this is not open for public discussion.
However your comment that their posts are being held is, at best, a fabrication.
If someone from Frugal Corner wants to "respond to these threads" and do so in an appropriate manner, they are more than welcome to do so.
I would appreciate you identifying your future speculations as such. It will prevent confusing them for being factual.

All our responses to posts must first be reviewed by an admin, which we have been told can take up to 2-3 days because the admins are busy.
Our ability to see todays posts has been turned off, our ability to search posts has been turned off, our PM's have been turned off.
So while we can respond, if we can find posts, it may take some time for them to be really posted.
so, while we may follow some threads for all purposes we can not longer really take part...
And as a general comment we have never replied to any thread in an un-appropriate manner.

Yes, your posts are shunted into a moderation queue for review by any member of the moderating staff.
The individual that told you it would take 2-3 days to review your submitted posts simply has no idea of what he is talking about. If you have questions and want correct answers, post in the Tech Questions forum.
Our ability to see todays posts has been turned off, our ability to search posts has been turned off, our PM's have been turned off.
And this has what to do with your ability to respond to threads on the forum??
So while we can respond, if we can find posts, it may take some time for them to be really posted.
If a member of the forum staff is online when your posts are submitted, it can take less than a minute for your submitted posts to appear.
so, while we may follow some threads for all purposes we can not longer really take part...
Yet, oddly enough, you are clearly proving otherwise.
And as a general comment we have never replied to any thread in an un-appropriate manner.
As I pointed out earlier, the reasons behind the limitations on your account are not open for public discussion.
