Hmmm... tomorrow.... I'm not sure I'm brave enough to go to the theater this weekend (crowds can be too much for me). I'll have to see when we'll go, but I'm looking forward to it!

I haven't had a chance to go yet bu my son, the comic book store employee, went the other day. He says that it's heaven for comic book geeks who know the Iron Man continuity...they drop little hints about future characters and possibilities all through the movie. For example, Terrence Howard's character walks past the grey armour that we know will be the War Machine suit and says. "What's this?"...and Downey (Stark) says something like, "That's for later."
Sorry if all of this is indecipherable to the comic book non-fans, but those of us who really dig this stuff are excited.
Wonder what the Stan Lee cameo appearanc will be?

We're going tonight at 8pm!
Should be awesome!
Iron Man was always one of my favorites, and I felt he rarely got his due. In fact, it was one of the things that led me to get into drawing comic books in the first place. Ah, those were the days...

I dislike going to the movies, but even I want to see this one on the big screen.

Wow. I had completely missed this. I used to love Iron Man as a kid. I remember one of my favorites was in the Marvel Team-up series. Iron Man and Luke Cage. Hmmmm...I don't remember who they were fighting now. Then again, it has been twenty years or so since I read it. (I lost all my comics to a leak in a storage unit in the early 90's. I'm still bummed about that. I had everything from early strange tales, to a DareDevil #5.) I think that Downey pulls Tony Stark off nicely in the trailer. In fact, it's kind of scary how much his portrayal in the trailer reminds me of how I imagined Tony Stark's mannerisms when I used to read the comics. The flippance is just perfect. I can't wait 'til this movie gets to home video. (I don't do theatres anymore. The absurdly inflated prices are out of my range for one, and I refuse to pay them for two. $5 for a soda? NO! I'll watch it in the comfort of my own home. Not to mention I can snuggle a lot closer with my favorite redhead at home.)
